Internet services in Uganda is set to receive a major boost as one of Africa’s leading mobile telecommunications providers Airtel, has launched a new pocket-friendly device it calls Airtel Wingle.
Airtel Wingle is a plug and play 3G Wi-Fi/Internet device that can connect up to 10 devices at a go without being plugged to a computer. The device is also designed to create a Wi-Fi hotspot with a 3G SIM card.
You won’t also have to worry about power problem as Airtel Wingle can be charged from any power source, including P/C laptop, car charger or power bank.
“The Airtel Wingle is a device fit for this Smartphone generation due to its portability, high signal strength and can be used anywhere any time to connect up to 10 users,” said Prasoon Lal, Airtel Uganda’s Marketing Director.
Lal further said, “We believe that our customers will enjoy using the Airtel Wingle and we shall continue introducing cutting-edge devices and products to enhance the way people communicate in Uganda.”
Airtel Wingle costs UGX100, 000, and comes with 1 GB free mobile data that is valid for one month.
Customers of the mobile network can now order for the device at any of Airtel’s chops across Uganda.
