Contrary to Apple tradition of making new mobile releases during the September-October period of the year, a fresh report by 9to5Mac suggests that the California, USA tech giant might toss in a new smartphone in March this year. This unusual will likely not affect the release of the Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus around September this year though.
The unverified smartphone (per official announcement or confirmation), reportedly codenamed N69 at Apple, is said to be hitting the shelves between March and April 2016 with a 4-inch of slightly curved display, and strikes more resemblance with the 2015-released iPhone 6s/ iPhone 6s Plus series than the 2013 iPhone 5s.
Apart from the 4-inch display, other alleged specs of the upcoming N69/iPhone 5se include an 8MP rear camera and 1.2MP front camera, an Apple A8 chipset and M8 graphics processor as well as support for Bluetooth 4.2, VoLTE, and 802.11ac WiFi connections.
Although the report is coming from an authoritative source, we suggest the content should be consumed with a pinch of salt since there’s no way to confirm the existence of the smartphone as it stands.
