Maternal and childbirth are mostly due to lack of prenatal care. These deaths could be prevented if proper care is given and close monitoring is done. MTN Nigeria has urged a Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos to dissolve the telco's lawsuit against the Nigerian Communications Commission as the company now prefers an out-of-court settlement. The South African-headquarterd telecommunications outfit had earlier dragged Nigeria's telcomms regulatory body NCC to court after the latter imposed a fine of $3.9bn on MTN over SIM card registration issues. Presiding over the case, Justice Mohammed Idris granted MTN and NCC an 8-week grace period to settle the matter outside judicial supervision and to present the agreement before the same court on March 18. For the records, MTN was fined $5.2bn by the NCC over the non registration/invalid registration of 5.1 million active SIM cards on the MTN network. The fine was later adjusted to $3.9bn fol
