Having gained popularity in Australia, the Virtual Private Network (VPN) became even more patronized since the government announced data retention feature. VPNs cover the location and encrypt the location to ensure that only the computers from each end will be able to recognize the communication. Here are my top choices for VPNs: Private Internet Access (PIA) PIA is supposedly the most known VPN on the market. It is high speed and easy to use. However, its downsides include occasional dropouts and no way to select specific server to use. Cactus VPN It performs with high speed, extremely easy to set up and affordable at $4.89 per month. Its downside is its poor customer support which is irregular and not available 24/7. Express VPN Express VPN is heavy-duty and has extremely fast spe...

What impact does a bad boss have on one’s career?

Technology: General
What does a bad boss do to you and your career? First, let us identify the two types of “bad” bosses – the incompetent and the nasty. The incompetent boss will let you do all the work. He will not coach you how to do the work; he will just let you discover it on your own. It will make you independent and self-sustaining. You can work on your own and find ways to come up with the best decisions. The nasty and manipulative boss will get all the credits for the work you have done. He will make you realize that life is indeed unfair. It will make you more resilient and look into the positive side. You learn how to analyze situations and think politically. What is good when a staff faces a bad boss who is the common enemy, they work together and set aside rivalries – even for a moment. And mor

British scientists are studying the effectiveness of an experimental gel containing nitroglycerin – an active ingredient in most bombs. Nitroglycerin, is the first explosive created in 1847 and this is stronger than gunpowder. The nitroglycerin gel is applied by rubbing in to the impotent region by the use of hand. Creators of the gel hope that it would be safer to use than traditional pills taken orally like Cialis and Viagra. Experiments show that men were given nitroglycerin paste and let them watch pornography. Results showed that 18 out of 26 men were helped by the paste. It is expected to take effect quicker than oral remedies. However, cautions are raised about the use of nitroglycerin since it can cause extreme and dangerous lowering of blood pressure. Gameloft launches first West African office in Lagos and this is what it means to me

News, Technology: General
I got to know Gameloft back when I would steal my brother's Nokia 6600 Symbian smartphone, hide away in the backyard or under the staircase, launch Real Football 2003 and then play one full match or less before he notices his phone is missing and then angrily calls for me by full name "Somtoochukwu!". Somtoo would quietly return the handset and almost immediately start plotting when next to launch yet another ambush. Don't ask me how I get the phone's security codes each time the owner changes it - don't please. Right now, I could take the next flight to Johannesburg to share my teenage stories with Gameloft developers over a cup of coffee but that won't be necessary - the company had just opened a new office in Lagos State, here in Nigeria. "The opening of a new trade office in Africa ...

Let me tell you what happened in South Africa. Vodacom, one of the biggest mobile service providers in the country, ran a commercial which shows a pastor on his way to a wedding he was scheduled to minister on. Along the way, pastor's car runs out of fuel. Being in a rural area, pastor can't get fuel anywhere close, however, thanks to Vodacom's 4G "coverage" in the area, he was able to connect to the wedding venue and joined bride and groom as husband and wife via video call -- all thanks to Vodacom's 4G coverage in the rural area. The ad enjoyed massive airplay on TV and on the Internet: Now, a user who found the ad non amusing and misleading -- knowing that there's hardly anything like Vodacom 4G coverage in rural areas -- reports the commercial to SA's ASA which  means Advertising Sta
