South Africa is taking no chances against the rest of the world in its bid to increase its technological base. Every day, South Africans find new ways, new applications and new technological innovations to launch so as to ensure better lives for citizens and better the nation’s ranking on the scale of technology driven economies. Their entrepreneurs are also supportive of this idea, one case being the idea of the FillApp.
The application, Fill App, which labels itself as the first online filling station in Africa, is created and developed by Cybatar. One of its major aims is to rejuvenate the South African fuelling industry, step by step, starting now.
What FillApp does essentially is allow users that are registered on its platform to order fuel from any filing station of their choice to be delivered to them wherever they are. This might be a non-essential app to many till we get stuck in a zone where fuel cannot be easily gotten. This app would come in handy in such situations as it would reduce the stress of having to trek to the nearest garage or filling station which might be a few miles away.
Prelaunched in August, FillApp has announced that it currently boasts about 900 users on its platform who are ready to start using its services. The various services offered on FillApp includes Fuel Request, Cost calculation, customer feedback and fill up tracking. The app is available on the Google Play Store for Android devices as well as on the Apple iTunes for iOS devices.
