The participants will be paired up in teams to create a technological solution, addressing the above mentioned issues. Each team will have two to five members and will be given a stipulated time to come up with the best of their creativity and understanding. The technological solutions that participants will create will be presented in front of the panel of judges. The winning team will get a handsome price of R150, 000 ($11,000).
The organizers are in favor of saying that participating in one-of-its-kind hackathon would give the women software developers, the much needed exposure. Again, this program is all about assembling the African women to solve some the basic human problems through technology. The Hackathon will be organized from 25th of August, 2015 to 27th of August, 2015. Registration for participation in this unique program will close by 20th August, 2015.
