Japanese engineer Kuniako Saito and his team at Cocoa Motors have come up with a new personal transportation system that you can even carry in your backpack. Named as “Walkcar”, this transportation system is very small and compact .Take it out, step on it and you are good to go. When you like to get off the ‘WalkCar’, just step off. Controlling this all new personal transportation system is easy, just lean your body to either side.
The product is battery powered, looks much alike a laptop but muck lightweight, weighing about two to three kilograms. However, this lightweight WalkCar can easily carry 265lbs. Made from sturdy aluminum one can travel at a max speed of 10 Kmph for about 12 Km. It needs about three hours of recharge after that.
The inventor, Saito is quite excited about this all new transportation device he has created. According to him, the simplicity of the device is sure to grab the attention of the potential consumers. Saito and his team are all set to launch this WalkCar in the autumn of 2015. The expected price of this WalkCar is around $800. Shipping is expected to begin by the spring of 2016.
