Jumia has now proved that it is not just the leading online sales platform both in Nigeria and Africa at large by random selection, and has also put tongues to rest that it is not a fluke either by the way it was stunningly recognized at the recently held Nigeria Customer Service Awards.
Winning the award for the 2015 E-Commerce Customer Excellence award, the body has now proved to be a point of reckoning when it comes to online buying and selling.
Contrary to the opinion of anyone that might have been thinking that Jumia got the win on a platter of gold, far from it. The method employed by the Nigeria Customer Service was a rather extensive one that saw customer feedback, reviews of members of staff as well as management practices and mystery shoppers who go to buy like every other person but are carrying out a review in the process, the agents of Jumia oblivious to this.
Other companies in attendance who also got awarded for their excellence in other fields include but are not limited to sectors such as Information Technology, Media, Entertainment and so on.
The Nigerian Customer Service Awards aims to improve the level of customer care in the country and this year’s event was proudly sponsored by Konga and DHL, last year winners of the award in e-commerce and retail respectively.
