The HR Focus Awards of the year 2015, which saw Airtel clinch the prize to be the first and foremost when it comes to learning and development practices for its employees has not left out MTN in its list of Awardees. Coming first in its own right and regard, MTN also clinched the award of the Overall Best Organization in Human Resources, making it the second time they would be beating everyone else to this award consecutively. This award came to MTN as a result of being the best organization when it comes to “recruitment and selection” of its employees. It is then little wonder why MTN is the leading brand in nearly all African countries that it sets up.
MTN Ghana, competing with a total of 43 other companies in all its categories was the only brand to have been selected as finalists in all the 10 categories that they were nominated for. Such is the brand presence and strength that MTN commands, both within and without.
The HR executive of MTN Ghana, in person of Mrs. Amma Benneh-Amponsah has dedicated this new award to all the employees of MTN. She said “I wish to say thank you to all MTN staff for making this possible and to assure you of MTN’s continuous commitment to improvement in people
practices and benchmarking, both locally and internationally”, not limiting her praise to the local area only.
