Nim$ wins 2015 Startup Istanbul competition, iGrow and Taskulu placed second and third

Startup Istanbul is one of the leading startup bodies in the world, taking its Startup competition around the world to bring together in close contact the founders of various ideas, investors that might be interested in financing these projects and making them a better reality and as well, executives likewise.

The Startup Istanbul 2015 version, recently held in Kenya and after a lot of start-ups have pitched their ideas and slugged it out on the technological and intellectual scale, a winner finally emerged based on the choice of the judges.

The winner of the 2015 Istanbul start-up competition in Kenya is Nim$, a start-up that provides a service which allows you to send and receive money with convenience across Kenya.

The start-up competition, which spanned a period of 5 days, saw its first couple of days with over 100 start-ups from all around the world who were pitching their ideas and aiming for the gold in the process. These participants have been chosen from a reach of 40 countries.

The next phase of the event had seen the participants cut to half of their original number, the remaining fifty then pitching their ideas to a panel of judges that included respectable individuals from the great technology hub – Silicon Valley. Of these judges was Steve Bank.

For the top three, Nim$ placed first, iGrow placed second and Taskulu rounded up the top three from Indonesia and Iran respectively.
