A digital printing start-up that was organized and launched in Nigeria, going by the name Printivo, have successfully raised some funds for their project from another company looking to invest in promising start-ups. The investment, which was sourced (through seed funding) from an early-stage technology venture firm known as EchoVC Partners, has been learnt to be a six-figure sum, although the actual details of the deal is yet to be ascertained.
Printivo was launched last year (2014) and the platform is based on the providence of online printing services to local and international businesses alike. Part of their products and things they work on include business cards, letterheads, notepads and the likes.
“Securing institutional seed financing means we can accelerate the growth of our online print services & community platform and achieve the ambitious targets we have set for ourselves, as we transform an industry that has, until now, lacked digital infrastructure, investment and innovation,” the company’s CEO in person of Oluyomi Ojo has said in a statement.
The recent investment has been planned to be directed to areas that would ensure the broadening of the business, increment of head count and also, accelerate the rate at which customers are acquired.
