Personal information are to be kept personal and in cases where users don’t want certain documents, files or even photos traced back to them, it is important to take caution in adequately protecting such personal information such as PC name, source and others.
For Windows 10 users however, keeping your personal information private especially for photos may prove tricky and it is with this in mind that this post was conjured up.
To keep your information personal on photos while using the Windows 10 OS platform, you will need to access the EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) information panel where you get the chance to modify options and properties including the camera, location, date and time and of course, the camera settings,
To get and edit this information which might otherwise be a useful panel for photographers, follow the steps below:
Locate the image file and right click on it.
Proceed to the lower part of the drop-down button where you’ll see the ‘Properties’ option and click on it.
Click on Details tab once you access the ‘Properties’ option and here you will be able to access the EXIF metadata for the selected file.
Proceed to click on the Remove Properties and Personal Information link at the bottom to remove and edit your personal information contained on the photo file.
Following the previous step, proceed to select the “Remove the following properties from this file’ option.
Check each of the boxes corresponding to the properties you wish to edit out or in other cases, click on the Select All tab to remove all properties attributed to the photo file.
