Tagging Someone In Facebook Comment Or Post Using Facebook Mobile

I got many requests from Facebook mobile users asking me how someone could tag a profile in a post, just as they do on Facebook web view. Luckily, I stumbled on a question asked in Bloggers Lab Facebook group asking the same question, from the answers given, I learnt you could tag someone on mobile just like in Facebook web view.

How To Tag Someone On A Facebook Comment Or Post Using Facebook Mobile

1. Go to the person’s profile(ie click on the person’s name).
2. On the URL bar find the person’s Facebook ID, copy it.

But in a case whereby you don’t see the person’s ID on the URL, you may see something like http://m.facebook.com/somtooideas, copy out somtooideas, being the username the profile is using. Now, go to graph.facebook.com/username. Eg., graph.facebook.com/somtooideas and find the profile ID of the user.

3. When updating your status on mobile, commenting or posting on someone’s wall you enter @[PROFILD ID OF USER:0] to tag the person.
