Sony has officially unveiled the roadmap of smartphones in its line which will be getting the newly released Android OS 8.0 Oreo.
According to the tech company, asides the upcoming Xperia XZ1 and the Xperia XZ Compact which have been revealed to be coming with the OS out of the box, some other devices in its Xperia series are qualified to get the OS update.
However, the tech company failed to reveal when the update will eventually start rolling out.
The tech company shortlisted most Xperia smartphone from its 2016 release on the update roadmap, the devices revealed to be getting the latest Android OS include:
Xperia X Performance
Xperia X Compact
Xperia XZ Premium
Xperia XA1 Ultra
Xperia XA1 Plus
The tech company has however failed also to reveal the features that will be coming along with the OS update to the above listed devices.
Recall that Taiwanese OEM, HTC, had revealed the HTC U11 which was formerly branded the HTC U Ocean to be getting the OS update which will come with several upgrades, notable among which is the support for the latest Bluetooth 5.0 technology.
