World’s first hybrid Windows 10 powered LED TV was unveiled by Videocon in partnership with Microsoft today in India. The TV which comes in two variants of 32-inch and 40-inch panels is set to hit the stores next month. The Windows 10 TV boasts of a full HD 1080p display and 2GB of DDR3 RAM with internal storage of 16GB expansible to 128GB using SD cards.
The smart TV which the company refers to as a “One Touch PC, One Touch TV” comes equipped with HDMI ports and supports Wi-Fi connectivity. The company is also working on larger variants sized at 55 and 65-inches scheduled to be released based on the market process of the which will be released on the market prowess of th already released variants. The smart TV runs on Windows 10 and has pre-installed on it the new version of Microsoft Office which hasn’t been revealed yet.
The Videocon Head of technology and Innovation Akshay Dhoot commenting on the launch had the following to say:
“In these changing times, we realized the needs of our consumers of having easy access to technology at their convenience and therefore designed the world’s first hybrid TV cum PC. Right now, we have launched only 32 and 40-inch models, which are popular in the consumer segment. Depending on the feedback from the market, we would launch 55, 65 and 24-inches also. With this innovative product, we intend to extend the Windows 10 experience to more users.”
